So, choosing what’s the best product for our skin does matter. Do you know that there’s an oil of legume plant that can help your skin and body healthy? Yes, it’s about Soybeans! Soybeans originated in Southeast Asia and were first domesticated by Chinese farmers around 1100 BC. Soybeans belong to the legume or pea family and are often used as soy flour, soy yogurt, soy milk, and tofu. Made from the extracted seeds of the soybeans and is known as the vegetable oil that is often used in cooking because they provide a complete plant-based protein source. A study published in the year 2016 concluded that soybean oil is a good option for high-heat cooking methods like roasting, baking, frying, and sautéing, as it can withstand high temperatures without breaking down. Other vegetable oil such as unrefined extra-virgin olive oil that has a smoke point of about 375°F (191°C), while the soybean oil has a relatively high smoke point of about 450°F (230°C). The smoke point of an oil is the temperature at which fats start to break down and oxidize. This results in the formation of harmful, disease-causing compounds called free radicals, which can cause oxidative stress in the body. So, using relatively high smoke point cooking oil such as soybean oil is a good option for high-heat cooking.

Also, soybean oil is rich in omega-6 fats which can help with several health benefits, especially when it comes to your heart, skin, and bones. It also contains Vitamin E, Omega 3, and Omega 6 fatty acids, and manganese, protein, and isoflavones, all of which have a long list of benefits when it comes to both your hair and skin health.

Here are some benefits of soybean oil that will help to improve your well-being.

Soybean oil promotes skin health

Who wouldn’t want clear and healthy skin? Improving our skin is next to confidence. One of those are oils to moisturize skin ── or skin products that are oil-infused such as soybean oil. This study published in the year 2005, concluded that topical application of soybean oil helped protect against skin inflammation caused by ultraviolet radiation, and it can also enhance the natural barrier to retain moisture. Daily use may prevent having skin conditions such as acne and atopic dermatitis.

Soybean oil supports healthy hair growth

Vitamin E, omega-3, and omega-6 fatty acids have a lot of benefits not only to the skin but also to our hair! It provides hydration to our skin which can fight inflammation to our scalp and aids in hair growth by strengthening the hair follicle and fighting free radicals that can damage skin cells on the scalp that can lead to hair loss, and the proteins and amino acids that can help build keratin which strengthens the hair fibers making them more elastic and less prone to breakage. Soybean oil’s main asset to hair is moisture retention. It’s non-greasy oil, great for sealing your hair ends, and for usage as a base oil for essential oils. All these factors make soybean oil an especially great option for thick, curly hair.

Soybean oil protects Vision

There’s a lot of things that can make our eyesight got blurry that may lead to blindness. But worry no more, soybean oil has omega-3 fatty acids that help to maintain cell membranes and help protect them, especially around the eyes and delicate portions of the skin which are easy entry points for microbes. Omega-3 fatty acids can also promote better vision by neutralizing free radicals that can cause macular degeneration and cataracts. Healthy glowing skin with a good vision? What more could you ask for.

Soybean oil is good for bone growth

Our bones can get weaker and weaker as we age and preventing it with the help of soybean oil can improve your quality of life. Soybean oil has Vitamin K which is an important function for its osteotrophic potential that can stimulate the regrowth or promote healing of bones. This study published in the year 2017  says that Vitamin K is best known for its effect on blood clotting, it also plays a vital role in regulating bone metabolism. And it shows that Vitamin K is necessary for the synthesis of specific proteins that are crucial for maintaining bone mass, such as osteocalcin.

Soybean oil increases memory power and fights Alzheimer’s Disease

Some of you might be having a hard time memorizing some lyrics or having a short-term memory which is inconvenient especially if it’s urgent. Soybeans oil can also help you with that!
