Where are B&A skincare made?

We’re a German-owned and operated company. Our products are manufactured and distributed in Kassel/Germany

Are B&A products tested on animals?

No, or manufacturing and testing processes are completely free from animal testing and we only source from suppliers who do not test on animals.

Are B&A Skincare vagan?

B&A products are formulated with 100% natural ingredients designed to treat and protect any skin types and conditions. The entire line does not contain any animal by-products. Our formulation is free of lanolin, beeswax, emu oil, honey or any other animal product. We use only pure and powerful plant-based oils and extracts to promote healthy, glowing skin.

Are your skincare line safe for pregnancy?

All of our products are made with plant-based and essential oils in concentrations that are reasonably safe for pregnancy and lactation. However, as every pregnancy can be different, we highly recommend speaking with your doctor for more specific advice.

Are B&A skincare products PH balanced?

Our skin’s naturally protective ‘acid mantle’ is generally between pH 5-6. All our products are formulated to closely support this balance and enhance the skin’s protective ability and function as a barrier. Our pure cleansing have a slightly higher pH, due to the saponification process. Being mild and supernatural means that they release moisturizing from the rich botanical oils for an extremely gentle, non-drying and detergent-free cleansing

Is allantoin safe for sensitive skin?

Allantoin is considered an effective moisturizing ingredient when used in skincare, and its gentle, non-irritating qualities make it an excellent addition to anti-aging products for those with sensitive or easily irritated skin.

What is resveratrol and how does it work?

Anti-aging formulas that boast the antioxidant powers of vitamin E or C, those ingredients have been proven to improve skin’s overall appearance. Resveratrol works synergistically with vitamin E to prevent further skin aging. This is especially important for mature skin, since your skin’s ability to repair itself decreases with age. In addition to its anti-aging prowess, resveratrol is beneficial for acne treatments. Due to its anti-microbial properties, it inhibits the growth of acne-causing bacteria. Resveratrol also reduce redness and calm skin. It can also help lighten dark spots and give you a more even, uniform complexion.

What is the main benefit of urea?

The benefits of urea is to strengthen the skin’s barrier has allowed it to be used in a variety of urea-containing creams and lotions for skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and cracked heels.

What does Vitamin C do to your skin?

Vitamin C hinders the damage caused by ultraviolet rays (UV). Through the antioxidants’ activity in vitamin C, it protects the skin against free radicals. Also, it slows down the melasma production in the skin and brown spots, evens out skin tone, and enhance your skin glow.

Is ginseng extract good for skin?

Yes, ginseng root contains numerous bioactive compounds, including saponins, polysaccharides, pectin, sugar, vitamins B1, B2, B12, pantothenic acid and minerals, which help to increase oxygenation and circulation to skin cells for a healthy glow. In addition, its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities help to protect skin from free radical damage.

What should be applied first, sunscreen or foundation?

When applying your foundation, powder or any make-up, it’s best to wear it after your sunscreen is applied. Additionally, wait at least 5-7 minutes before applying any make-up or foundation. However, if you’re going to wear make-up or powder that has SPF in it, make sure you have all the necessary active ingredients and at least SPF30 of coverage needed. As most times, make-up with SPF in it does not nearly have the adequate sunscreen protection.
